Santa Clara test will continue uninterrupted.

Credential Advisement and Counseling

Santa Clara LEA is a non-profit agency which has been approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) to screen and recommend candidates for the adult education / career technical education / vocational education and supervision and coordination teaching credentials.

This agency serves teacher-candidates from the entire Bay Area, from Napa to Monterey.

The role of the LEA is to: 
bulletexplain the credential requirements
bulletassist the teacher candidate to qualify for as many subject listings as possible
bulletanswer questions
bulletdescribe the application process
bulletfinalize the application
bulletsubmit the application and recommend the candidate to the Commission
bulletprovide a high quality teacher preparation program.

This agency does not assist with  K-12 or 30 day emergency substitute credentials, except to offer the U.S. Constitution Examination.
The local county office of education, credentials department, is able to provide information regarding these credentials.
