The role of the LEA is to: 

	explain the credential requirements
	assist the teacher candidate to qualify for as many subject listings as possible
	answer questions
	describe the application process
	finalize the application
	submit the application and recommend the candidate to the Commission
	provide a high quality teacher preparation program.

This agency does not assist with  K-12 or 30 day emergency substitute credentials, except to offer the U.S. Constitution Examination.
The local county office of education, credentials department, is able to provide information regarding these credentials.
