Santa Clara LEA
Credential Advisement and Counseling
Santa Clara LEA is a non-profit agency
which has been approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) to
screen and recommend candidates for the adult education /
career technical education / vocational education and
supervision and coordination teaching credentials.
This agency serves
teacher-candidates from the entire Bay Area, from Napa to Monterey.
The role of the LEA is to:
 | explain the credential requirements |
 | assist the teacher candidate to qualify for as many subject listings as possible |
 | answer questions |
 | describe the application process |
 | finalize the application |
 | submit the application and recommend the candidate to the Commission
|
 | provide a high quality teacher preparation program. |
This agency does not assist with K-12 or 30 day emergency substitute credentials,
except to offer the U.S. Constitution Examination.
The local county office of education, credentials department, is able to
provide information regarding these credentials.
